Synopsis
Shot like a Broadway musical, Evita is the real-life story of Eva "Evita" Duarte de Peron, the second wife of President Juan Peron, who rose from poverty to become the most famous Argentine woman in history. The story travels through her rags-to-riches story, rise to power, charity work and eventual death.

Following the success of the film version of Evita, in 1996, the government of Argentina released its own film biography of Peron, titled Eva Perón: The True Story, asserting that it corrected distortions in the Lloyd Webber account.
There were several productions of Evita, theatre, film and touring productions with multiple shows. Its music won several awards.
