Synopsis

When SP Amit Kumar (Ajay Devgan) is transferred to Tejpur, the mafia-politics there threaten to drown him. He does not buckle under pressure. This inspires the cops working under him to take law into their own hands. How does Amit Kumar handle the situation?

The film was loosely based on the Bhagalpur blindings. These refer to incidents in 1979 and 1980 in Bhagalpur in Bihar when police blinded 31 undertrials, by pouring acid into their eyes and poking needles in their eyes. The incident was widely debated and discussed by several human rights organisations.
