Tantallon Castle lies 3 miles east of North Berwick in East Lothian in Scotland. The Castle was built in the 14th century as a fortress. The best thing about it is it’s dramatic location on the coast opposite the Bass Rock. The Bass Rock is a 300 foot high volcanic plug, found offshore from the ruins of the Tantallon Castle. It is situated at the mouth of the Firth of Forth in the North Sea.
