A walkers retreat, nestled in the foothills of Glen Coe. Black Rock Cottage has been a retreat for walkers and travellers alike giving shelter from the cold icy winds that blow through Glen Coe during winter months. Glen Coe is the most popular glen in Scotland. It has spectacular scenery and mountains. Glen Coe is bleak and mainly treeless with the busy A82 Glasgow to Fort William Road running through it. The cottage itself is owned by the Ladies Scottish Climbing Club and is bookable from them by their own members and those from other mountaineering groups. The 3345 feet high mountain called Buchaille Etive Mor at the eastern edge of Glen Coe can be seen as the backdrop.
