Located on the banks of the River Kaneri, Syntheri Rock is a 90 m high granite monolith molded by nature. It is located inside the thick Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. Syntheri rock is a monolithic rock formation, somewhat like a flat rock erected right in the middle of the forest, with the furious River Kali gushing past it. Effects of erosion here are clearly seen in the surrounding rocks as well as on the Syntheri Rock. Swimming here is fatal since the rocks under the surface are sharp with jagged edges. The breathtaking valleys, regal looking meandering rivers and the splendid scenic beauty of the Syntheri rocks make Dandeli an inspiring experience.
