The Victoria & Albert Waterfront, considered one of the Cape Town’s “Big Six” tourist attractions, is a veritable feast for the senses. Built on the site of Cape Town’s harbour, the developer took great pains to preserve and incorporate many of the historic buildings into the V&A Waterfront’s design. Among others, these include the Victorian Gothic-style Clock Tower, an icon of the old docks, as well as the historic Power Station (Pump House), Port Captain’s building, Millwright’s building, and Union Castle. Situated at the foot of Table Mountain, within a stone’s throw from the Cape Town Stadium and in the heart of Cape Town’s working harbour, the V&A Waterfront offers the visitor an abundance of indoor shopping and entertainment venues that seamlessly merge with ocean vistas and mountain views and the fresh sea breeze and warm African sun. More than 80 restaurants bring a fusion of international food.
