Bond takes it upon himself to protect M and brings her to his childhood home Skyfall in Scotland. His home is at the beautiful highlands of Glencoe in Scotland. Here Bond and M look at the Glens with Bond's Aston Martin DB5 parked behind him. The Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger appears, complete with the same license plate and all the frills from that film — a symbol of the healthy nostalgia Skyfall possesses.
Glencoe is without doubt one of the most famous and scenic of all Scottish Glens, located only a short drive (about 2 hours) from central Scotland on the A82.
To get the right donkey for the movie, the director travelled to Sirham, a village on top of the mountains, since Kashmir had only mules and no donkeys.
