Ghosh Bari is one of the aristocratic, heritage mansions of Calcutta. It is a sprawling 9-pillared mansion or bari built in 1842. The Ghosh family came to Pathuriaghata at the time of Warren Hastings. It is home to Pradip Ghosh. The mehfil room or jalsaghar is not in use now but its association with music continues. It is the venue for the All Bengal Music Conference. One of the important Bonedi Barir pujos is none other than Ghosh Barir pujo at Pathuriaghata. It has been celebrated from last 166 years and that too holding a traditional outlook. Khelat Chandra Ghosh started durga puja with tremendous devotion of the Goddess Durga.
