The Gstaad Glacier 3000, is situated in the heart of the ski super-region Gstaad Saanenland in the Bernese Oberland to the east side of Lake Geneve. Glacier 3000 is the shortened form of "Glacier 3000 Region Les Diablerets - Gstaad SA". In Summer and Winter, Glacier 3000 is an extraordinary tourist attraction in the Swiss Alps. The ski slopes in Gstaad are especially suitable for beginners and for advanced skiers. The 14km-long slope at the Ski Area Glacier 3000 is the longest in the region. As well as Alpine skiing the Glacier 3000 offers itself to winter hiking, cross-country skiing and, at the beginning of the season, to snowboarding thanks to its "Snowboarder & Freestyler Park". The area of Glacier 3000 also offers numerous possibilities for dining. In total there are 5 bars/ restaurants which are sure to quench and satisfy even the most thirstiest and hungriest of skiers and day-trippers. Famous for its architecture, the restaurant "la Botta 3000", situated at the entrance to the cable-car, is especially renowned. Glacier 3000 brings together Cantons Bern, Valais and Vaud. It can be accessed from the Bernese Oberland, the Lake Geneva region or the Gruyère region. The panorama cable car whisks you up into a land of ice and snow in just 15 minutes.
