Plage Paradiso, better known as Paradise Beach, is located at the mouth of the Chunnambar Backwaters. Chunnambar is situated 8 km from Pondicherry, along the Cuddalore Main Road. This tropical paradise is flanked by a quiet-flowing creek on one side. Plage Paradiso is a beautiful beach and its golden sand and the view of beautiful sunrise make it one of the most sought-after destinations. A rivulet on one side adds to its beauty. A short, pleasant cruise into the sea from here could reward you with the memorable sight of playful dolphins in their natural habitats, horsing around. Chunnambar Beach and Backwater Resort, a PTTDC enterprise is a water sport centre known for its virgin beaches and backwaters. It offers boating, backwater boat tours, trekking and picnics on Paradise Beach that attract numerous tourist. The resort also offers various kinds of rental boats in addition to beach volleyball and other beach sports.
