State Netball Hockey Centre (also known as the State Netball and Hockey Centre) is a multipurpose sporting facility located in Melbourne, Australia. The arena was opened on 16 March 2001,[2] and is run as a non-profit facility by the State Sport Centres Trust. State Netball Hockey Centre is a $27 million project completed in September 2000. The new hockey facilities include two hockey pitches and a grandstand for 1000 spectators. The netball centre has five indoor courts including a 3000 seat showcourt and four outdoor courts. There are also be multi-use meeting / function rooms and integrated player and spectator amenities. SNHC is quickly growing a reputation as one of the premier venues in Australia. It has the ability to host conferences, concerts & functions of all types. The multi-purpose function rooms have movable walls, so clients can configure the space to suit their requirements, from small meetings of 10-20, banquets of 150 or cocktail parties for 250. The flexible space is suitable for all types of events including business meetings, training sessions and conferences. The rooms offer state of the art facilities with quality fittings and ergonomically designed furnishings. SNHC also offers the use of the Show Court, which can cater to sit-down dinners for up to 1000 guests.
